As a trainer, one of Menny’s passions is to draw out the best in teams and to bring life one of her favourite quotes from Marianne Williamson —

Here is a snapshot of some of the training modules Menny has developed and delivered:

  • Waves of grief and loss
  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Neuro-developmental model for educators

  • Window of Tolerance
  • Attachment Theory
  • Self-Care for staff
  • Vicarious trauma and compassion fatigue
  • Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI): Self-harm awareness training for school staff
  • Antifragility
  • How to lead through tough times (COVID)
  • Finding your Ikigai (a reason for being)

Menny delivers high-energy keynote presentations to organisations. Her passion is to ‘bring life to literature’. Audiences love her practical strategies, her stories and mostly her ‘Mennyisms’; often describing her energy as witty, fun and contagious. Organisations hire her as a keynote speaker because of her strong background in trauma-informed practice, counselling and mental wellbeing.

Menny develops and delivers tailor-made training modules focusing on staff wellbeing and positive psychology. Menny has delivered training on topics including vicarious trauma, grief and loss, workplace culture, neuroscience and trauma-informed practice. Offering a unique approach to training, she uses stories, humour, and metaphors to bring life to theory – and to make training more fun. This approach has received favourable feedback from participants.

Training and professional development programs are delivered both onsite and offsite. Menny’s facilitation, supervision and training techniques are informed  by neuroscience, the neuro-developmental model, narrative therapy and draw from mindfulness techniques.
